Britney doesn't do drugs, claims friend

A close friends of Britney Spears has denied allegations that the pop star has ever taken drugs.

The source, who has reportedly been close to the singer throughout her recent troubles, told X 17: "Britney does not do drugs!"

Despite the star being checked into rehab earlier this year after an incident where she shaved off all her hair, the insider claims that the only vice that Spears has is for a couple of drinks of alcohol on a night out.

Referring to allegations that lollipops she has been seen sucking may contain illegal substances, they commented: "They're Tootsie Roll pops, not suckers laced with drugs or whatever Kevin's camp is claiming - I've never even heard of that!"

The 'Toxic' singer is apparently too dedicated to her children at this point in her life, placing them ahead of her career and would not take drugs because of this, claims the source.
