Amy Winehouse walks out of rehab

Amy Winehouse and her husband Blake Fielder-Civil walked out of rehab yesterday - and soon went for a drink at their local pub.

The 23-year-old singer quit the Essex clinic that she had checked into earlier this week, after vowing to change her ways following a drugs overdose.

Amy, who collapsed after taking cocaine, ecstasy pills and ketamine, was expected to receive treatment for six to eight weeks. The star's family members are said to be devastated by her decision to pull out so quickly.

A family source told The Mirror: "They just said they had had enough and wanted to leave. The clinic is hoping they will come back but they can't be forced to stay."

Blake's father Giles added: "We were praying they wouldn't bail out early. We don't want them to go back into their vicious cycle. Amy has had five days away from drugs and her self-esteem and confidence is slowly coming back. I hope she and Blake can take control of their lives."

Amy and Blake returned to their home in Camden, London after they left the clinic, but they went for a drink at the Old Eagle pub two hours later. The couple stayed for just 40 minutes.
