Reports speculated that the Holiday co-stars were an item when they were spotted enjoying a meal together in Los Angeles earlier this week. However, Jude's people have insisted that he is too busy for a romance with Diaz.
A spokesperson told Entertainmentwise.com: "Jude and Cameron are good friends. They dined together in LA along with a group of other friends.
"There is no ongoing romance and as he is currently on holiday then off to the Venice Film Festival with Sleuth which he produced and in which he stars and which is in competition there, and then starts work on a new film which shoots in Toronto called Repossession Mambo with Forest Whitaker and which will shoot until the end of the year. He has no plans to see Cameron again in the near future."
Rumours that the pair are romantically involved were first reported last month.
