Actor Jesse Spencer has called off wedding plans with his co-star Jennifer Morrison.

The couple appear in the US drama House together, but it has been reported that the pair ended their engagement yesterday.

Former Neighbours actor Spencer allegedly proposed to the actress at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, after putting it off for six months due to nerves. The wedding was expected to take place later this year.

However, in a joint statement to America's People magazine, they said: "After much consideration, we have decided not to get married. We are still very close and we look forward to continuing to work together on House."
