Tony Blair has decided to write an account of his ten years running the country and living at number 10 Downing Street, it has been announced.
The former Prime Minister will get an estimated £8 million for the memoirs after he recruited Bill Clinton's former lawyer to set down a deal.
Robert Barnett managed to get around £6 million when Clinton sold his autobiography, but Blair's book deal is still reportedly in "very early stages".
Blair has gone against his past intentions and had previously insisted to former Labour MP Lord Radice: "I hope I am still a human being. And I am not going to write my memoirs.”
