'The Good Life' star in cafe controversy

The Good Life actress Penelope Keith has become embroiled in a controversy over her plans to open a cafe in a Highland Village.
The TV star has given local authorities an application to consider letting her change a former petrol station into a two-storey cafe.
However, the actress' plans have been met with complaints by residents who claim that the new building may adversely effect other businesses and prove an eyesore on the district.
Reportedly a 240-name petition has been handed to the Northern Constabulary regarding Keith's proposals.
However, adding further complications to the matter, several residents have claimed that their names appear on the petition handed to the council even though they never signed it.
Retired architect Alastair Cochrane, who admits he supports the star's cafe plans, told The Yorkshire Post: "I was stunned when I found out about it.
"I am very concerned. Somebody has basically stolen my name and used it for something that it is not supposed to be used for.I never signed the petition. There are people concerned about this, it does not seem to be above board."
