Britney Spears steps up her custody case

Britney Spears has made moves to step up her custody case against ex-husband Kevin Federline after she has received a number of blows in the last couple of weeks.

The 'Toxic' singer has had a number of her entourage receive subpoenas ordering them to court to give evidence about her parenting of boys Sean Preston and Jayden James.

Her cousin Alli Sims, ex-bodyguard Jonathan Rotem, former PA Shannon Funk and now her former rehab clinic have been summoned by Federline's lawyers.

She has also received bad news with rumours this week that her lawyer Laura Wasser is threatening to quit representing her for the custody battle.

But sources close to Spears insist she has been working on building her case against her former partner. One source revealed: "It's not just Kevin's partying and gambling, there are all sorts of things she thinks lawyers should know about.

"She may not be Snow White, but she is determined to show he is no knight in shining armour either."
