Robert De Niro flew through time zones so that he could celebrate his birthday twice last week.

The Meet The Parentsactor became 64 last Friday, while attending the opening of his new Nobu restaurant in Melbourne.

The Oscar-winning actor then hopped on a plane to Hawaii where he celebrated his birthday again attending a party at the Waikiki branch of his restaurant chain.

De Niro now runs 19 food outlets across the globe, which began as a business idea in 1994 alongside Richie Notar, chef Nobuyuki Matsuhia and Hollywood producer Meir Teper.
