Darren Hayes has been arrested after an alleged racist attack on a member of staff at a Thai restaurant in Soho.
The ex-Savage Garden frontman was questioned by police following claims that he had verbally abused a waiter at Busaba Eathai in Wardour Street last month.
Hayes – who was freed on bail - was dining at the restaurant on July 22 when the attack allegedly happened.
Police said: "We can confirm that a 35-year-old man was arrested by Westminster police on suspicion of racially abusing a member of staff.
"He was arrested after voluntarily attending a Central London police station by appointment. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries until September 21."
Hayes has refused to comment on the allegations.
