P Diddy forced to call off fireworks

P Diddy has been forced to scale down his extravagant party plans and has had his proposals to hold a fireworks display banned.
The hip-hop star had planned to invite hundreds of people to his annual White Party event on September 2, but New York officials have stopped proposals for a fireworks show.
Diddy, real name Sean Combs, wanted to spend $100,000 on the display over the Northwest Harbor, but a permit has not been given because officials were worried about it being dangerous for boaters.
He can, however, still hold a party.
