Jessica Simpson praised by co-star

Jessica Simpson has been praised by her co-star Vivica A. Fox after pressing ahead with filming her new movie despite injuring her nose.

The singer-turned-actress hit her nose with a gun during a scene in Major Movie Star, although she denied that she broke any bones.

Fox said: "During the scene, she looked really intense when I looked in her eyes, and I just thought she was really into it.

"But when the director (Steve Miner) yelled, 'Cut', Jessica came over to me and said, 'Vivica, I hit my nose with the gun.'

"We got ice immediately. Most girls would've stopped right then and there, but she was ready to do another take. She's wonderful."

Fox also hit out at reports that the Simpson behaved like a "diva" on the movie, branding them "vicious lies".

She insisted that the Dukes of Hazzard star was "very down to earth" and a "team player".

Simpson recently revealed that she is hoping to avoid nose surgery after the accident.
