Rolling Stones star advised Moss about split

Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood advised Kate Moss about her split from Pete Doherty last month.

The guitarist, who is a close friend of Moss, assured the supermodel that dumping Doherty had been the right thing to do.

"Well, he wasn't exactly very good for her, was he?" Ronnie told The Mirror. "I was just encouraging her - saying 'Go on, girl. I'm glad you've got rid of him'." He added: "Someone had to do it."

Moss went to stay at Ronnie's home in Kingston, Surrey, after splitting from the Babyshambles frontman, who had cheated on her with a girl he met in a club.
