Edmonds: I proposed as a joke

Noel Edmonds has denied reports he is to marry his girlfriend Liz Davies.

It was suggested he had proposed to his long-term partner with a £2.50 ring.

The Deal or No Deal host said he had been seen apparently proposing, but it was not serious.

He commented: "What has happened to everyone's sense of humour? It was a joke."

A source told the Daily Mirror: "They are blissfully happy and will move in together at some point but they're not getting married."
