Owen Wilson has begged the media for privacy after being admitted to hospital in Los Angeles.
The 38-year-old Wedding Crashers actor was rushed to Saint John's Health Centre on Sunday night, following a suspected suicide attempt. He was later transferred to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre. Press reports have claimed that Wilson had taken a number of pills and cut his wrists.
The hospital has confirmed to US TV show Extra that Wilson is receiving treatment and is in "good condition".
In a statement released to TMZ.com, Wilson said: "I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time."
