Beckham hopes to score goal for Romeo

David Beckham is hoping to score for LA Galaxy this weekend - after receiving a special birthday request from his son Romeo.

The footballer has told Romeo, who turns five on Saturday, that he will try to score a goal for his birthday, in a match against Real Salt Lake.

However, Beckham recently sustained a knee injury and has yet to be told if he will be able to play.

A source told the Daily Star: "All of David's boys love to watch him play and Romeo will be thrilled if his dad can score on his birthday. David has told him he will give it his best shot."
