Goodrem speaks about cancer battle
Published Thursday, Aug 30 2007, 23:20 BST | By Daniel Kilkelly

The Australian singer was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease in July 2003, and immediately undertook chemotherapy treatment, which resulted in the loss of her hair, and radiation therapy.
"I have never had any insecurities about my appearance before, but after I became ill I had to take steroids, and I bloated a bit. My skin was greenish and I'd lost my hair," Delta told Australia's Cosmopolitan magazine.
"I had to wear braces because my teeth were starting to move. All of these little things added up. I was mortified. I thought, 'This isn't me, I don't know this person.' But eventually I realised that, end of the day, all we have are our spirits and our souls. It's about whether you're a good person or not."
Goodrem's new single 'In This Life' will be released in Oz next month.
