Winehouse's hotel room searched for drugs

Hotel staff searched Amy Winehouse's room for drugs every day, according to a report.

The troubled singer visited the Jade Mountain resort in St Lucia with her husband Blake Fielder-Civil, after walking out of rehab.

Fellow guests complained to staff members about "strange smells" coming from Amy's £500-per-night suite, but no drugs were found.

A source told The Sun: "With their reputation it was no surprise management gave the room a thorough check daily. They would have been kicked out if there was evidence of drug use."
