Sir Paul McCartney has quashed rumours that he is in a relationship with actress Renee Zellweger.
The Bridget Jones' Diary star sparked suggestions that she may be dating the former Beatle when she reportedly claimed she had a "crush" on him after the were spotted eating out in New York last month.
However, McCartney, who is currently undergoing divorce proceedings with his estranged partner Heather Mills, has insisted that the pair are just good friends.
He told WENN: "We're not dating. We're in the same group of friends and that's it."
Zellweger's friends have also denied the accusations, agreeing that they are just pals.
