Doherty's cat caught with crack pipe

Photos of Pete Doherty reportedly giving his pet cat Dinger a crack pipe to smoke on have emerged.

A report in The Sun claims that the Babyshambles frontman made a specially designed small pipe for his kitten and that he regularly lets his pet smoke.

A friend of the singer commented: "In Pete's mind it is the only one who understands him now.

"One in particular has borne the brunt of his drug abuse. Pete thinks it's hilarious to get it wasted. He even made a special mini-crack pipe out of a bottle so it can get the maximum hit."

Pals of the rocker have claimed that Dinger occasionally passes out after taking the drugs, and that it suffers from side effects such as moodiness.

They added: "It has lost some of its balance and takes huge risks jumping over things that are too high. It thinks it can fly. It's really distressing to see."

Commenting on pictures of Doherty with his cat and smoking pipe, a RSPCA spokesperson said: "It is hard to launch an investigation into possible abuse from just a photograph. There needs to be more evidence."

Doherty's pet was reported to be hooked on cocaine earlier in the month.
