Hammond involved in another car crash
Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond has been involved in another car crash, nearly exactly a year after he was a in a near-fatal jet-power car accident.

The TV star was taking it in turns to race a £100,000 BMW 330 DTi Sport with fellow presenters Jeremy Clarkson and James May when the accident happened.

The trio were apparently taking part in a 24-hour Le Mans-style race at Silverstone on Saturday, according to the BBC.

A spokesperson for the channel said: "During the race, at night, Richard was driving and another car shunted him off the track.

"Richard wasn't hurt at all but the car was damaged. It was taken back to the pits and repaired before Richard carried on with the race."

Hammond was involved in a 288mph car crash at Elvington airfield, near York, last September, which left him with swelling and bruising on his brain.

However, the presenter made a complete recovery and even returned behind the wheel of another high-speed car last week, driving a Bugatti Veyron in a race against a Typhoon fighter.
