Fall Out Boy Wentz confirms Simpson love

Fall Out Boy singer Pete Wentz has confirmed that he is in a relationship with singer Ashlee Simpson.

Previously the rocker has denied allegations that the pair were an item, despite numerous sightings of the couple together.

However, Wentz has now spoken out about his love for Simpson, explaining that he likes the fact she is his "best friend" but that he still gets to "kiss her".

Wentz told People magazine: "People like to make it seem different than it is. People will say 'No one holds hands that much.' But I'm like 'Why would you not want to touch the person that you're in love with? '"

He added: "We're past the honeymoon period. The truth is, it's crazy to be able to kiss your best friend. It's just a really awesome thing."

Simpson's dad is reportedly pleased with the match-up, commenting: "He's a good kid."
