Bextor delays tour to join Take That

Sophie Ellis Bextor has decided to postpone her own upcoming live dates to allow her to support Take That on their European tour.

The 'Murder On the Dancefloor' singer was asked by the reunited foursome to accompany them on all of their 34 shows, but clashes forced her to reschedule her own dates.

Tickets for the original dates will still be valid and she has promised to make sure the shows next year will be even bigger and better as a result.

She apologised to her fans, saying that it was proving "incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to do both".

Bextor added: "I'm thrilled Take That have asked me to tour with them. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity any girl would be a fool to turn down.

"I promise you when my own tour happens next year it'll be bigger and better than ever."
