Britney Spears is reportedly in talks to play at this weekend's Emmy Awards to apologise to her fans for her show at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Spears' performance at the opening of the VMA ceremony was deemed an embarrassment by many critics and the singer apparently wants to make up for it by appearing at the TV awards bash.
A report from US Weekly claims the 'Toxic' singer has been "in negotiations" with Fox about the possibility of her attending the show on Sunday.
The source said: "The idea is to have her come on and apologize for the VMAs. She's weighing the offer."
