The 'In Da Club' star's rap rival recently insisted that he should have opened last weekend's ceremony, because of the success of his single 'Stronger' in the US chart.
"[West] was upset, he's not used to being recognised. Period," 50 explained during an interview with American DJ Ryan Seacrest.
"Kanye expressed that he felt that Britney shouldn't be actually opening the show - almost like he forgot that Britney Spears sold 50 million records. She did. He is not thinking about her full body of work. She deserved to headline the show better than anybody else that was on it - even in the state that she is in."
Britney's performance of her new single 'Gimme More' at the ceremony was panned by critics.
