O.J. Simpson has been arrested and held without bail in connection with the armed robbery of sports memorabilia from a hotel room in Las Vegas.
Simpson was taken into custody at the Palms Hotel on Sunday, along with another man named as Walter Alexander, on suspicion of being two in a group of people who had seized items at the Palace Station casino hotel on Thursday.
O.J. has insisted that he is not guilty and that the items belonged to him. But Clark County District Attorney David Roger claimed prosecutors plan to charge him with two counts of robbery with the use of a deadly weapon, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery, coercion and burglary with a deadly weapon.
He could be sentenced for between three to 35 years for each count if he is found guilty. Roger said: "He is facing a lot of time."
