Spears' management company quits

Britney Spears' manager Jeff Kwatinez, from LA management company The Firm, announced that he is quitting working with the star by handing in his resignation this morning.

The news will have come as a blow to the singer as she is currently battling it out for the custody of her two sons Sean Preston and Jayden James in court against ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Management company The Firm released a statement about Kwatinez's decision, saying: "It saddens us to confirm media reports that we have terminated our professional relationship with Britney Spears.

"We believe Britney is enormously talented, and has made a terrific record. But current circumstances have prevented us from properly doing our job. We wish Britney the best."
