Jamie Theakston has announced that he is to become a father for the first time with new wife Sophie Siegle.

The TV presenter and radio DJ married Siegle in a celebrity-filled ceremony in Ditchling, East Sussex at the weekend.

The couple have been together since they met at the Oscars event two years ago and Theakston proposed when they were on holiday together in Paris in April.

Theakston announced the news while presenting his breakfast show on London radio station Heart 106.2.

He gave the news away by saying: "I can tell you there was a very special guest there, but I can't tell you his name because he hasn't got one.

"I can't even tell you if it was a boy or a girl because myself and my new bride won't find out until April."

Theakston, who has previously dated supermodel Erin O'Connor and actress Joely Richardson, then dedicated a song to the new baby, saying: "This is for my new wife and my first child."
