Spears forced to take drug tests

Britney Spears has been ordered to take random drug and alcohol tests twice a week after her substance usage was highlighted during her custody battle against ex-husband Kevin Federline.

The singer was granted permission to keep the existing shared custody arrangement of boys two-year-old Sean Preston and one-year-old Jayden James with Federline.

She was taken to court by her former partner after a number of incidents, including a stint in rehab earlier this year, and was accused of taking drugs in front of her children.

Los Angeles Court Commissioner Scott M. Gordon said yesterday that there had been evidence that Spears was "a habitual, frequent and continuous" user of both alcohol and drugs.

Along with the drugs tests, she will also have to attend parenting classes at the court.
