Naked Silverstone ad pulled from TV

A new advert for animal rights group PETA that shows Alicia Silverstone naked has been pulled from going on TV by a cable company to avoid 'offending' viewers.

In the ad the Clueless actress is seen walking out of a swimming pool and gives a message about living a vegetarian lifestyle.

It was scheduled to air for the first time on Wednesday, but Texas-based company Comcast Cable has stopped the commercial from being transmitted.

A spokesperson for the organisation claimed that 'nudity' was the reason for the decision to scrap the campaign.

PETA released a statement, saying: "(Viewers can) get an eyeful, not only of the stunning Ms. Silverstone, but also of our free Vegetarian Starter Kit – chock full of delicious recipes – that will make them drool for an entirely different reason."
