Geldof branded "Satan" by Hutchence mum

Bob Geldof has been labelled "Satan" by the mother of the late Michael Hutchence.

Geldof's former wife Paula Yates left him for the INXS frontman in 1996, but when both Yates and Hutchence died, the former Boomtown Rats singer took their daughter Tiger Lily into his care.

However, Hutchence's mother Patricia Glisser has claimed the Live 8 organiser has been severing ties between her and her granddaughter and that Geldof's own daughter, Peaches, is a bad influence.

Speaking on Australian TV, Glisser said: "He's certainly not a saint. I can't see that side of him at all. I think he is Satan.

"I think he is very cruel, very cruel to keep her from her family. I am not allowed to speak to her on the phone. He's even changed the phone number.

"She rang here five nights in a row when she went home, begging to come to live with us but Bob, of course, wouldn't let her."

Talking about the influence of Peaches Geldof, Glisser commented: "I don't think she should be Tiger's role model."
