Gallagher promises legendary son

Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has promised that his new born son Donovan will go on to become a legend.

The Manchester rocker reportedly texted all his close friends and family after the birth of his second child on Saturday to make the declaration.

According to The Sun, Gallagher's text read: "He shall go by the name of Donovan Rory MacDonald Gallagher and he will be a legend. Give thanks and praise."

Gallagher had told friends that he would call his son Sven, after the former England and current Manchester City football manager Sven Goran Eriksson.

However, his wife Sara Macdonald apparently managed to persuade the 'Don't Look Back In Anger' singer to change his mind.

A source commented: "During the pregnancy Noel was calling the bump Little Sven. He said he wanted to name the lad after the City boss. Luckily he’s ended up as Donovan."
