Stefani diet obsession due to mum

No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani has claimed that she is obsessed with dieting due to the pressures placed on her by family members.

The ‘Don’t Speak’ rocker is quoted as saying: "My grandmother was one of those really obese women and I think that frightened my mum.

"I've always been on a diet, ever since I was in the sixth grade."

However, the popstar doesn’t blame her mother for forcing her to think about her size, because she was only doing it with good intentions.

Stefani commented: "It was out of my mother's love for me. But I don't know if it's good for a kid to be concerned [with their weight] so early."
