Kerry Katona has suffered from a miscarriage after recently announcing her fourth pregnancy.

The ex-Atomic Kitten star was expecting a child with husband Mark Croft, with whom she already has a seven-month-old daughter. She also has two daughters from her previous relationship with Westlife star Bryan McFadden.

Katona, who had been rushed into hospital last week with a 'mystery illness', is now expected to be recovering from the miscarriage at her home. She had been pregnant for five or six weeks.

Her publicist Max Clifford said: “Kerry was only a few weeks pregnant. She's sad but she's young and healthy and she had a baby not so long ago. She's as good as she can be in the circumstances. She's resilient, as always.

"They're upset but they'll bounce back. She handling it as best as she can."
