Donovan: My daughter saved me from drugs

Jason Donovan has claimed that the arrival of his daughter helped him to defeat his drug addiction.
The former popstar had a highly publicised problem with drugs and celebrated the birth of Jemma in 2000 by going on a cocaine binge, but he has insisted that he has been clean for the last six years.
Donovan claimed that having his daughter around him made him realise that he would have to change his lifestyle so that he would not affect his family.
He said: "I dealt with this piece of life-changing news in the only way I knew how - by getting completely off my head."
Donovan, who also has a six-year-old son, added: "I was still using drugs, still going on the odd bender, but as time went on the lure of them was no longer as appealing to me as it had once been."
