Jolie and Aniston share world record

Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie have been awarded the shared title of 'Most Powerful Actress' in the Guinness World Records book.

Jolie, who has four children with Aniston's ex-husband Brad Pitt, has received a lot of media attention due to her relationship with the Babel actor.

She has also been suggested as a possible Oscar nominee for her performance in current movie A Mighty Heart.

Aniston has also hit headlines over her rocky love life and was given the joint title in the 2008 book after researchers assessed the earnings and publicity of actresses during the last twelve months.

Other movie stars that have been named in the book include Tom Cruise, who has pushed Johnny Depp from the title of 'Most Popular Actor'.

Meanwhile Snakes On A Plane star Samuel L. Jackson was named as the 'Highest Grossing Actor' after appearing in 75 films which have taken in nearly £4 billion worldwide.
