Richie plans to marry this month?

Nicole Richie is planning to marry Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden this month, reports claim.

Madden confirmed that he hoped to make the Simple Life star his wife during a recent interview on US radio.

But she is rumoured to have already accepted his proposal and the pair will tie the knot in California on October 13.

Richie - who has reportedly signed up for an alcohol treatment programme - is due to give birth to the couple's first child early next year.
