Doherty's drugs sentencing adjourned
Published Tuesday, Oct 2 2007, 09:39 BST | By Beth Hilton

The Babyshambles frontman was due to appear before West London magistrates today, following his arrest for possession of Class A drugs in May.
He had previously admitted driving illegally while in possession of crack, heroin, ketamine and cannabis. District Judge Davinda Latchlar warned Doherty in July that he would face prison for the offences if he failed to successfully complete a rehab programme.
His manager Andy Boyd said he expected the singer to be spared jail because he had been clean of drugs for six weeks. He told NME: "He's the best I've seen him in five years."
The adjournment is believed to be a result of bureaucracy issues relating to the court.
