Allen confesses booze helps her write

Lily Allen

Lily Allen has confessed that drinking alcohol helps her to write songs.

The 'Smile' singer revealed that the effects of booze can cure her writer's block and ease her stress when she is recording.

Allen told Heat World: "Over summer I was feeling a lot of pressure - probably why I was drinking quite a lot because I felt very stressed.

"I’ve been working in the Cotswolds for the past couple of weeks with Greg Kurstin. I am happy just writing music, that’s what I’m here for."
