The Q Awards have spent £180,000 on alcohol for next week's ceremony.

The annual music bash, which begins next Monday at 1pm at London's Grosvenor House, is expected to have Amy Winehouse, Kate Nash and Kaiser Chiefs in attendance.

Organisers have bought 8,000 Appleton Rum cocktails, 7,000 Bitburger beers, 1,000 bottles of wine and champagne for the guests.

An insider told the Daily Star: "There’s always copious amounts of booze at the Q Awards for the simple reason they always get a load of rock stars turning out.

"We’re expecting the usual outbursts, wobbly artists and general awards frivolity."
