Depp will not raise children in US

Johnny Depp has ruled out the possibility of bringing up his children in the US.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean star - who lives with wife Vanessa Paradis and their two children in France - claimed that he is "frightened" by his home country.

He told the New York Post: "I'm not particularly optimistic about society. We're in an age where everything has gone too far. It's an ugly world.

"I'm truly frightened of America in terms of raising my daughter here. I don't believe that is an option at all."
