Doherty 'attempted suicide' over Moss

Pete Doherty reportedly tried to commit suicide when he first heard about his ex-girlfriend Kate Moss dating her new boyfriend.

The Babyshambles frontman was in rehab when he learnt about Moss's relationship with The Kills singer Jamie Hince, and allegedly swallowed a bottle of pills because he was so upset.

Doherty, who left the rehab clinic in Wiltshire last week, was sick after taking the pills which cleared out his system.

His minder Johnny 'Headlock' Jeannevol told the News of the World: "Pete's been really wound up over Kate showing off her new man. He told me he didn't know what the pills were, and took the lot.

"He doesn't care what drugs do to him - in fact, he loves finding out."

Doherty split up with the supermodel in July after reports surfaced that he had cheated on her. Moss has since announced she is engaged to Hince, while Doherty is planning to marry model Irina Lazareanu.
