The oldest member of sibling boyband Hanson has said he feels "lucky" after undergoing surgery to remove multiple blood clots.
Isaac Hanson was rushed to hospital after suffering chest and shoulder pains during a gig in Dallas.
He had previously suffered from venous thoracic outlet syndrome in 2003 and said he instantly knew what was wrong.
He told People: "Having had this happen before, I started to be really suspicious of what it was. In the middle of the show, I said to someone: 'We may need to go to the hospital'."
Talking about the operation, he added: "I'm feeling pretty good. I'm feeling lucky."
Hanson has left hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, although he will need to take blood-thinning medication. He revealed that he may undergo more surgery at the end of the band's tour in a bid to permanently correct the problem.
The 26-year-old and brothers Taylor and Zac have cancelled shows in Tulsa, St Louis and Kansas City while Isaac recuperates.
