Ramsay becomes top Michelin-starred chef

Gordon Ramsay has been awarded two more Michelin stars, making him the joint most-starred chef in the world.

The celebrity chef was handed the stars for his new restaurant in New York, making him level with French cook Alain Ducasse, despite critics panning the food at Gordon Ramsay at The London.

One reviewer claimed the food at Ramsay's latest restaurant was "as reliant on default luxuries as on real imagination".

The 40-year-old Hell's Kitchen star said: "It is a great honour to have received two stars from the Michelin Guide in our first year in New York."
