A number of hospital staff have been suspended after they reportedly looked at George Clooney's confidential medical information and sold it to the media following the actor's motorcycle crash last month.
The Syriana actor broke a rib, while his girlfriend Sarah Larson broke her foot in the September 21 accident.
Up to 40 members of staff were allegedly accused of looking at Clooney's files and suspended without pay.
Clooney insisted that he did not spark the investigation, saying: "This is the first I've heard of it. And while I very much believe in a patient's right to privacy, I would hope that this could be settled without suspending medical workers."
