John Travolta has reportedly offered to fly the Spice Girls' private jet across the Atlantic when they begin their world tour.

The Pulp Fiction star wants to pilot the reformed band's Boeing 757 airliner - which they have christened "Spice Force One" - when they kick off their tour in Canada on December 2.

He said: "It sounds like an amazing plane. They don't do things by halves."

Travolta, who is a certified pilot and owns five aeroplanes, added: "I've been flying since 1974 when I earned my wings. Every cent of my paychecks went to flying lessons."

Rapper P Diddy donated a £4 million fleet of bullet-proof buses to the girls earlier this month.
