Witherspoon, Phillippe divorce finalised

Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe's divorce has been finalised, almost a year after the pair first separated.

The Walk the Line actress began dating Phillippe in 1997 and appeared opposite him in 1999 film Cruel Intentions. They then married each other a year later and have two children together - an eight-year-old daughter and a three-year-old son.

The couple separated in October last year and Reese filed for divorce in November citing "irreconcilable differences".

Court documents revealed on Wednesday that the divorce has now been confirmed.
