Mel B battles depression over Angel

Melanie Brown has reportedly been suffering from depression over her ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy's failure to visit their daughter Angel.

The Spice Girl's lawyer, Gloria Allred, revealed that Mel B has been desperate for Murphy to come and see the six-month-old so that she can have a father figure, but he has refused to play any part in her life.

Allred said: "Mel's hurting at the moment. Even though she's invited Eddie to visit Angel, he's refused. She's tried every way she can think of to get him to visit his gorgeous baby. It's just hurtful.

"Just because the two are no longer together, doesn't mean the father should avoid being involved in the child's life."
