Julian Lennon believes his father John visited him from beyond the grave more than 25 years after his death.
Julian was stunned when the ex-Beatle apparently appeared to him while he took part in an ancient ceremony with an Aboriginal tribe in Australia.
A source told the Daily Express that the 44-year-old was handed a white feather by one of the tribal elders, saying: "It may sound strange but that was a very weird and emotional moment for Julian. He was left speechless. Not long before he died, John had told him, 'If anything ever happens to me, look for a white feather and you will know I am there for you, always looking out for you.' "
Julian was in Australia to make award-winning 2006 documentary Whaledreamers, which aims to raise awareness about the plight of whales and the Earth's oceans.
Sir Paul McCartney believes that John appeared to his former bandmates as a white peacock while they recorded the single 'Free as a Bird' in 1995.
