A district judge let Pete Doherty skip a court appearance yesterday to play a gig in France.
Judge Jane McIvor adjourned proceedings in London's Thames Magistrates Court so that the Babyshambles frontman was free to play a show in Paris.
According to The Sun, McIvor is a fan of the rock star's music and has even praised his band's single 'The Blinding'.
At a hearing last year she reportedly said of the track: "It’s a good tune, but I’m not sure about the words."
Doherty is due in court twice next week and could face a jail sentence for motoring and drugs offences next Friday.
