DeGeneres pleads for dog dilemma to end

Ellen DeGeneres has claimed that the situation surrounding a dog that she adopted has "gotten out of hand", insisting that it needs to end.
The chat show host adopted a dog from pet rescue agency Mutts and Mums last month, but then gave the Brussels Griffon mix, called Iggy, away to her hairdresser when she realised he did not get along with her cats.
When the animal shelter realised this, its representatives turned up at the family house and took Iggy back, because DeGeneres had broken an agreement stipulating that she must not give the dog away without permission.
But Mutts and Mums started to receive death threats after the comedienne asked for the dog to be returned to her hairdresser's family - but she has now admitted the situation has got to stop.
DeGeneres said: "Let me just say this, it's gotten out of hand. I want nothing, nothing more than that dog returned to that family.
"But you don't resort to violence. So anybody out there, please stop that. Please don't threaten or do whatever."
Owner of the animal sanctuary, Marina Batkis, told Inside Edition: "If Ellen wants to place dogs and decide what's a good home, then she should start her own rescue group. But I'm the one doing this and I know what I'm doing."
